The Junior Bulldogs and 7th grade Dogs lost their games tonight against Stuttgart. The Jrs. lost 34-0 and the 7th lost 28-8. Both teams will be back in action next week at home against Crossett. #Bethebest



Today, Mrs.Rachel's class learned about first, next and last in literacy. She began by demonstrating with three ABC students in a line facing one direction. Students working on sequencing is one key strategy for understanding narrative texts and is important for retelling, summarizing, and problem-solving. 📚🦸♂️🦸♀️ #Bethebest

The 7th and Junior Bulldog football games Thursday at home will start at 5:30. The Junior Bulldogs will kick-off at 6:30 instead of 7:00. #Bethebest

Yesterday, Mrs. Lacey's class discussed feelings and emotions. The ABC students demonstrated how to verbally discuss their feelings in a calm manner. #Bethebest

The Bulldogs tennis team defeated Warren 16-6 today. The Dogs will be traveling to Magnolia Thursday for a key district match. #Bethebest





Today, we had special guests from the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education visit all of our schools. Commissioner Jacob Oliva and Assistant Commissioner Stacy Smith toured classrooms, met with teachers and staff, and got to see the great things happening at SCSD. We are proud of the work being done! #BeTheBest

Today in Mrs.Tina's class her students learned about part-whole. 🧩 The part-whole model is a useful model for students to learn and utilize as it will assist with addition and subtraction later on in their mathematical journey. 🧮 The students really enjoyed the lesson. #Bethebest

Due to recent rains and hazardous road conditions, the Star City School District will alter bus routes this afternoon. Buses will not drop off on the following roads: Lancaster, Lavender, and King. Parents may meet the bus at Holly Springs Church, the softball field across from Lancaster, or the intersection of King and Hwy 11.
