JBE had to be evacuated due to smoke coming from the cafeteria this morning. There was no fire and the source of the smoke was from an air conditioner unit. The building has been checked and students and staff are back in the building as normal. Great job by our staff and students following safety procedures and getting the building cleared quickly. Also thanks to all first responders getting to JBE to assist. #WhateverItTakes

On behalf of Star City High School Senior Beta Club, we would like to send a special Thank You to Cummins Employee Corporation. The generous donation of $700 will help send our Beta Club to National Convention in Savannah, GA this summer. Our gratitude goes to Connie Cook and her daughters, Carnecia Mays and Chrystine Mays for the initiation of the donation.
SCHS will be sending 43 students to National Convention in June. Austin Palazzi was elected as Arkansas State Vice President. Karen Celis placed 1st in the Spanish academic test. Zack Bailey placed 2nd in the math academic test and the campaign skit placed 1st. All of these students have been invited to compete on the National level. #WhateverItTakes
Senior pictures for the class of 2019 will be held on June 11th and 12th in the high school cafeteria. There is a $20 sitting fee due at the time of the appointment.
Students may visit www.prestigeportraits.com to confirm their appointment time. Students that confirm their senior appointment will go into a drawing for a $500 scholarship.

Soccer finished the season tonight at home and celebrated the seniors. Girls lost 5-0 and Boys lost 3-1. Both programs had solid seasons
Bulldog Baseball falls 10-1 against Ashdown while Softball wins 4-3 against Ashdown today in the Regional Tournament. With the win Softball will face Bauxite tomorrow at 1pm and clinches a spot in the 4A State Tournament! #WhateverItTakes
