As part of this law, students are not permitted to have cell phones or other personal electronic devices in their possession during the school day — This restriction extends from the time students arrive on campus until they leave at the end of the school day. ✅ Important Clarification: Students are not considered to be in possession of these devices if they are: • Powered off • Stored away in a backpack • Not accessed at any time during the school day. Please note that SCSD is not responsible for any lost or stolen devices. 📱 Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices Include: • Cell Phones • Smartwatches • Earbuds / Headphones • iPads / Tablets • Any personal device that has communication capabilities 🚫 In Possession Includes: • Holding the device • Carrying it in a pocket or on their person • Checking the device while stored in backpack at any time during the school Our goal is to foster a focused, respectful, and safe learning environment.
