Louise Byerly joined the Star City School District in 1972 and spent the next 41 years teaching students here. She was very involved in our athletic and band programs and could always be counted on to volunteer to do whatever was needed. Even though she retired from teaching in 2013, she still continued to work the ballgames and loved visiting with her former students and friends. She loved her school family and they loved her. Our prayers go out to her family during this time of loss. We will miss you, Mrs. Byerly.
