Jacob Shipman is name that is known throughout the hallways of Star City High; some refer to him as “the guy with the hair” or “the guy at the pep rallies”. Shipman hasn’t always gone to Star City but for someone who didn't grow up here, he sure has Bulldog Pride rushing through his veins.

Shipman was chosen to be section leader by Captain and Co-Captain of the cheerleader team, Jaycee Merritt and Katie Thompson. Jacob does an amazing job at getting the students excited to cheer on their Bulldogs on Friday’s Pep Rallies and games alongside Jonathan Ramos. Jacob uses his method of yelling chants during the rallies so the students are able to participate in showing spirit in our school. What he enjoys most about being section leader is the rush of adrenaline and the feeling of leadership. Being section leader may seem like a difficult job to most but not to Jacob, he loves being section leader . “It’s fun being section leader; also it’s not challenging at all.” There are many ways that students could help make the pep rallies better and a fun time for everyone. “If there was one thing I could tell the students at SCHS that could help make pep rallies better is to participate  and show pride in our school.”

Jacob is brainstorming ideas and themes for future pep rallies.  You can stay updated by following him on twitter @shipebeast21. Follow Shipman's lead in helping supporting our Bulldogs. Shipman has  caught a case of Bulldog Pride and it’s contagious.
