SCHS Students Attend Lessons on Diversity & Inclusion from Former Razorback, NBA Star in Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF, AR. - Former Razorback and NBA star Sidney Moncrief takes his "We Are One" program on the road once again, this time to Pine Bluff.

Students from White Hall, Star City, and Watson Chapel all gathered Feburuary, 26 at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative to learn about the benefits of diversity and inclusion.

The goal--to bring students together to educate and have fun.

"Diversity and inclusion is all about the amount of engagement people have with one another and it goes beyond just giving people information. You have to give them an experience and that's what we are doing today."

Moncrief's "We Are One" initiative helps students from different backgrounds build relationships through engagement and relationship building activities.

It also helps students develop self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation, and motivation.
